EOQ Inventory Model in a Metalworking MSE with Intermittent Demand: A Case Study

چکیده

The main objective of this research article is to optimize costs and logistic KPIs applying an economic order quantity (EOQ) inventory model in a metal-mechanic MSE with intermittent demand. Firstly, the forecast lowest MAD ECM selected. object under study, after ABC classification, belongs family products located class A due its valuation participation inventory. Croston method considered most effective model. Secondly, aggregate planning developed satisfy projection. Then, EOQ or Wilson implemented reduce costs. Finally, validate calculated data, simulation built Arena 50 replications. As result, were reduced 22.6%.

A Fluid EOQ Model of Perishable Items with Intermittent High and Low Demand Rates

We consider a stochastic fluid EOQ-type model with demand rates that operate in a two-state random environment. This environment alternates between exponentially distributed periods of high demand and generally distributed periods of low demand. The inventory level starts at some level q, and decreases linearly at rate a during the periods of high demand, and at rate b < a at periods of low dem...

Developing EOQ model with instantaneous deteriorating items for a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) system

This paper studies the economic-order-quantity model (EOQ) for deteriorating items in two cases (with and without shortages) to evaluate how vendor managed inventory (VMI) affects supply chain. We consider two-level supply chain (single supplier and a single retailer) with one instantaneous deteriorating item. A numerical example and sensitivity analysis are provided to illustrate the effect of...

INVENTORY MODEL WITH DEMAND AS TYPE-2 FUZZY NUMBER: A FUZZY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION APPROACH

An inventory model is formulated with type-2 fuzzy parameters under trade credit policy and solved by using Generalized Hukuhara derivative approach. Representing demand parameter of each expert's opinion is a membership function of type-1 and thus, this membership function again becomes fuzzy. The final opinion of all experts is expressed by a type-2 fuzzy variable. For this present problem, t...
